Dr Danjoux is a consultant in Anaesthesia and Sleep Medicine at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (since 2002). He is the research lead for the Department of Academic Anaesthesia and specific research responsibilities within his job plan include funded research time through NIHR grant awards. Dr Danjoux is the Anaesthesia, Perioperative Medicine and Pain Specialty Group Lead for Durham Tees Valley Comprehensive Local Research Network with a position on the national Specialty Group committee (2009 to date). Dr Danjoux’s research is clearly embedded in the submitting unit, and his Visiting Professorship at Teesside University was conferred in 2012. Since 2006, Dr Danjoux has worked closely with Professor Batterham and they have co-authored five journal articles, all of which are returned in REF2. Danjoux and Batterham are also co-investigators on two NIHR Research for Patient Benefit programme grants: PB-PG-0407-13274 (£207 K.
