Providing Adaptive Health Updates across the Personal Social Network
<28> This paper reports on 3years’ studies “in the wild” with parents of sick infants, resulting in an empirical user model of how health updates should be tailored. The rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis extends the research for which Moncur won First Prize in the Microsoft/ACM Student Research Competition at CHI, and our 2010 IEEE Transaction on Information Technology in BioMedicine journal paper. Authorship reflects NHS collaboration. The research was reported on by STV and BBC. The research focus – designing for a critical point in the human lifespan - has been extended through an EPSRC Fellowship and NRP PhD studentship.
