Additional information

The book comprises a collection of essays on Indigenous/Tribal studies in India that were collated by both of the editors following the series of conferences held during the 150th anniversary year of the Santal rebellion. The main areas covered by the main Introduction and the five sectional Introductions were devised in accordance with the key priorities of those conferences that the editors organised. Each of these Introductory essays were jointly written by both editors, and D. Rycroft took the role of lead author in four of the five sectional Introductions (all except Section 3: Landscape and Adivasi agency).
