<02> UCHPC, part of the leading EuroPar conference, is called a workshop because it focuses on new research directions rather than incremental developments. The acceptance rate was 36% (5 papers accepted out of 14). Impact: The paper extends the applicability of GPGPUs to irregular algorithms, persistent shared memory, and active data structures, enabling them to be used for a broader range of applications. Originality: The paper develops new communication algorithms and a new program structure for GPGPUs. Rigour: The algorithms and two applications are implemented and tested on large test data, with speedup factor of 480.
