Activated polarization pulling and de-correlation of signal and pump states of polarization in fiber Raman amplifier
The results in this paper will benefit researchers in the context of development of advanced algorithms and numerical methods for stochastic nonlinear systems. Proposed two-scale fibre spinning provides a simultaneous reduction of polarisation impairments and so is a cost effective way to increased optical fibre capacity and transmission distance in high capacity un-repeatered links at low operating cost and reduced power consumption. The results helped to establish collaboration links on experimental and theoretical study of Raman-based fibre optic communications with world-leading academic and industrial partners, namely Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), Acreo AB (Sweden) and VPIPhotonics (Germany).
