This sole-edited volume seeks to explore a range of recent plays from across the globe (2001 to 2011) which utilise the testimony of real people as the foundation of their aesthetic practice. Further developing her established research focus on "staging the real", Forsyth conceived of this idea and took the volume through its various stages from sourcing many hitherto unpublished plays to book proposal to final book production, inclusive of photographic production shots and prefatory essays and two interviews which form a part of this volume. Forsyth prefaces the volume with a sole authored 6,000 word critical introduction.
