Significance of output:

Understanding the fundamental combustion properties of clean fuels such as hydrogen-enriched syngas fuels is a critical aspect for developing clean and alternative fuel based next generation combustion devices. A fundamental combustion property such as preferential diffusion is an important physical phenomenon for hydrogen-enrich fuels which can be crucial for hydrogen fuel based practical combustion applications. Preferential diffusion affects chemical reaction and heat transfer that can play a significant role in hydrogen combustion. This work reported the Influence of preferential diffusion on the dynamics of hydrogen combusting flames using state-of-the-art computational techniques and detailed chemical kinetics.
