Additional information

This work led to a follow-on project funded by EPSRC (EP/H031197/1) with Shell support, that is looking at the combustion of renewable fuels. Some of the techniques are being incorporated into test equipment being made by Integrated Laboratory Solutions (http://www.integratedlabsolutions.com/) in collaboration with Shell. The pressure analysis technique has also been applied by Shell (with our assistance) to data they obtain from other sources. Marshall (a former doctoral student) is now working for Mercedes High Performance Engines.
