Saturated Pressure Measurements of 2,3,3,3-Tetrafluoroprop-1-ene (HFO-1234yf)
Refrigerant HFO-1234yf (HFO) is currently the most promising environmentally-friendly candidate to replace R134-a in automotive air conditioning. This paper presents the first experimental determinations of the thermodynamic properties of HFO. This work was carried out in collaboration with NIST, Boulder, CO (eric.lemmon@nist.gov), and the data were used to develop new routines in REFPROP (DoI:10.1021/jp309119h, DoI:10.1021/je200369m), the international reference software for the thermodynamic properties of refrigerants. This paper has also been the basis for further thermodynamic development of HFO in: Germany, DoI: 10.1016/j.fluid.2011.04.005; Japan , DoI:10.1007/s10765-011-0992-0; and Italy, DoI:10.1021/je2000952.
