Rank Awareness in Joint Sparse Recovery
This work stemmed from an invited international research visit to Technion, Israel (Eldar) and developed new theory and algorithms for the sparse multiple measurement recovery problem. This arises in a number of important compressed sensing (CS) applications such as sub-Nyquist analogue-to-digital systems, e.g. DoI:10.1109/TSP.2009.2012791. The work in this paper has subsequently been adopted by the CS community: e.g. KAIST, Korea, DoI:10.1109/TIT.2011.2171529; and Switzerland DoI:10.1109/TCOMM.2012.091112.110439. The work contributed directly to the award of the 5-year EPSRC-DSTL programme grant “University Defence Research Centre” EP/K014277/1 (£3.8M): Signal Processing for the Network Battlespace.
