Additional information

This paper reports on the design and construction of the most comprehensive multimodal biometric database that has been made publicly available to date incorporating several modalities and sensor types. The work on this database was undertaken as part of the EU funded BioSecure Network of Excellence and included several leading European institutions (e.g. EPFL, Switzerland; Thales, France). The database is available through the BioSecure Association which Deravi co-founded and currently serves in the post of Vice President. The paper, together with the database, thus provides a high impact resource for the future development of multimodal biometric technologies.
