Communications-inspired projection design with application to compressive sensing
This work proposes new image acquisition and compression mechanisms with compression rates over 100% higher than the state-of-the-art. Led to a 2-year International Exchange Scheme (2013-2014) between UCL and Duke University funded by the Royal Society. Led to invitations to talk at various workshops and events, including the Aviation Security Technology Industry Days at the Department of Homeland Security in Washington, D.C. (August 2013) and the Compressed Sensing and Its Applications Workshop at the Technical University of Berlin (December 2013). This work was carried out in collaboration with members of Duke University, USA, including an IEEE Hamming Medalist (A.R. Calderbank).
