Significance of output:

Reporting an optical signal noise suppressor accommodating simultaneously two independent signals. It follows from our prior important numerical work and demonstrates that optical signal processing systems can be scaled not only in speed but also in channel count. The technique is original in that it overcomes the challenge of mitigating several competing nonlinear effects within the same medium, without however compromising the performance of the demonstrated system. This work was conducted within the EU project TRIUMPH (collaborative between eight partners, including Nokia-Siemens-Networks and Finisar) and has led to >7 invited presentations at international conferences, including OFC'2009.
