An interference-aware virtual clustering paradigm for resource management in cognitive femtocell networks
<04> This paper proposes a new intelligent technique for managing resources in multi-tier wireless networks by grouping the low power femtocells into logical clusters as opposed to the traditional clustering techniques. Existing radio resource management techniques for single tier wireless networks are not directly applicable to the emerging high density multitier wireless networks, where low power femtocell nodes are overlaid on macrocell networks in an unplanned fashion. This paper is one of the major contributions of my PhD work. The extension of this paper has earned a best paper award in a reputed IEEE GWS Conference held in New Jersey, USA.
