Additional information

This output facilitates the development of strategies to mitigate hydrogen explosion accidents to help maintain the integrity of nuclear waste plants and protect the environment from the threat of uncontrolled radioactive releases. It has been used by Sellafield Ltd. to address knowledge gaps in their current hydrogen safety guidance and assist in the development of safety cases for nuclear decommissioning operations. The research has contributed to saving Sellafield £550 million. Verification: Dr Martin Fairclough, Sellafield Ltd, Warrington, WA3 6JR.
