Additional information

The publication is a result of a major international study on cold store energy consumption. The paper shows a new benchmarking system for cold store consumption based upon analysis of numerous cold stores worldwide. The output has been widely disseminated to the cold storage industry via webinars, case studies, info packs, e-learning and workshops (http://www.khlim-inet.be/drupalice/). The new benchmarking system will result in large-scale energy savings as well as reduced food wastage. Verification: Chris Sturman, Food Storage & Distribution Federation, Reading, RG7 1JQ.
