In addition to developing a strong research base in renewable energy in the South West (via PRIMaRE) and leading to associate membership of SuperGen Marine and to two Grand Challenge Research projects investigating survivability and performance of wave energy devices using similar numerical approaches the findings of this work have fed into further research into OWC analysis in Italy and Spain. The OWC wave energy converters have significant potential and numerical tools such as that developed here provide important insight into their behaviour.
