The aim of the study was to describe the potential performance characteristics, of microwave tomography (MWT) for brain imaging with a particular focus on stroke detection. This is a significant impact of the paper as it indeed demonstrates that MWT is applicable for brain imaging and stroke detection. This helps to attract attention of investment funds: a consortium of start-ups has been incorporated EMImaging Ltd in UK (05940546) with EMTensor GmbH in Austria (www.emtensor.com).
