Additional information

Brain tumour cells (glioma) are known to develop high lipid concentration within the cell. This paper develops the concept of using microwaves to detect lipid droplets which are simulants for cancerous glioma cells. This paper provides the first report of a cavity perturbation approach for the development of a microwave based sensor to detect brain cancer. This paper is the result of an on-going collaboration with engineers at Liverpool John Moores University.
