This paper reports findings from research carried out at the Universities of Greenwich and Bath by Pam Maras in collaboration with colleagues from the University of Bath and leads on from a joint project funded by the HEA on students’ anxiety and identity in relation to the internet and technology use generally. Pam Maras was responsible with colleagues from Bath for the of design of the study including the measure of internet identity (which she developed) and its conceptualisation within the context of the programme of research and writing up of the paper.
