Additional information

This investigation resulted from a successful international collaboration with INSA Lyon (France) via an FP6 Marie Curie WARTHE network and led to the fabrication of novel sub-kPa conformable and stretchable pressure sensor, based on a photolithographically defined ‘egg-box’ sensing surface. This resulted in significant improvement in fatigue resistance when subjected to tensile cycling and also the completion of another successful PhD project in the area. This unique device could potentially develop into systems for the early detection of pressure ulcer and artificial skin.
