Additional information

The paper elaborates various models to select good predication capabilities model for Springer uninhabited surface vehicle (USV) in EPSRC Grant EP/1012923/1 project for designing navigation and control (NC) systems. Mr M Couch (Martin.Couch@utas.utc.com), Director, UTAS, industrial collaborator, comments: As a result of this study, a collection of new linear and nonlinear models of the yaw dynamics of an USV is now available for exploitation by the marine control systems design community. Such models are essential in the design of future advanced USV navigation and control systems; thereby they make a significant contribution to the field of marine systems engineering.
