Additional information

This paper is a study of a novel form of Nano-Crystalline Diamond (NCD) from an international collaboration with the Naval Research Laboratory, Washington (USA). Unlike previous forms of NCD that found little or no industrial application, this type of NCD represents a significantly more stable and more reliable form of this material, as the empirical investigation conducted by the authors indicate. The authors suggest that this material could be utilized to manufacture a new generation of electronic devices, whose performance and versatility extends and complements present-day Silicon technology, therefore contributing to simplified, more reliable and more efficient electronic systems.
