<07> Despite being recently published in December 2012 in the prestigious IEEE Internet Computing, this contribution is being impacting in the field of Big Data and Hadoop ecosystems mainly due to the open source implementation associated with more than 20,000 downloads. This paper resulted in the research project entitled “Virtual Honeynets based on Autonomic Responses and Trust Models”, awarded by the Spanish Government totalled with 162k EUROS. Alcaraz focused on the installation and configuration aspects whereas Kirschnick and Guijarro focused on management and reconfiguration aspects. Lougran and Farrell focused on implementation aspects for the deployment of Hadoop in cloud computing infrastructures.
