Additional information

The output from DTI/EPSRC project (£1.6M, MIRA, Jaguar/Landrover, Volvo, BAE, Harada, “Simulation of Electromagnetic Field Exposure in Resonant Environments”) this paper has had a significant impact on modelling and measuring the level of emissions in vehicles from internal antenna systems and how they affect occupants and EMC issues. Research contributed to new EMC standards (contact Krell Attback, kattback@volvocars.com) and led to grants: “EM safety and Hazards Mitigation by proper EV design”, FP7 Transport grant 2011-14 (10 EU partners) and “Electrical powertrain health monitoring for increased safety of FEVs”, FP7 Transport grant 314609 2012-15 (Contact Alastair Ruddle, alastair.ruddle@mira.co.uk).
