The research was funded by Greek National and EU Community Funds (project no 03ED757). The outcome of this research (laser drilling process technologies and algorithms, allowing more accurate control of the process), contributed to the establishment of co-operative links with Prima Industries and Centro Riserche Fiat (CRF).
