Additional information

This research underpinned the design of a piezoelectric micropump having state-of the art specification. Initial design took place through involvement in an FP7 Network of Excellence (http://www.4m-net.org ) in collaboration with the German Fraunhofer EMFT. Based on the design analysis a high-pressure micropump for demanding applications has been developed and is commercially available (http://www.mikroelektronik.fraunhofer.de/en/press-media/microelectronics-news/article/high-pressure-micropump-for-demanding-applications.html ) including application as a micro-dosage system.
