Additional information
This is the final output from HSE CRR263; (£97,000) building on 2 previous papers. The findings provide guidance on ‘planning for H&S’ and the CDM Regulations. Practical implications for the model go beyond the UK as CDM originated from EU Law and has become the template for other countries worldwide. The ‘Gateway’ process model is now built into HSE/Construction skills guidance (www.cskills.org) and international websites (www.saferdesign.org). It was adopted by SKANSKA for PFI bids. CIOB H&S Committee have commissioned Dr Hare to write a Code of Practice on H&S in P.M., based on the Gateways.
