Additional information

This paper describes a kinematic meshless formulation for plates incorporating error estimation and adaptive refinement, thereby enabling accurate solutions to be obtained rapidly. The formulation is the first of its kind for limit analysis problems and provides a valuable new mesh-independent solution method.
