Whole crude oil hydrotreating is a new technology that has not been reported by any other research groups. Since the publication of this paper Saudi Aramco have launched a research funding call on whole crude oil desulphurisation. Mujtaba was invited to give a keynote presentations on the topic at the ToG2012 conference in Libya. At recent PARTC (Cape Town) and MEPEC (Bahrain) conferences, the work attracted the attention of a number of industries (Invensys, Johnson Matthey, DuPont, Sasol, Haldor Topsoe).
