The Oxford History of the Irish Book: Volume V: The Irish Book in English, 1891-2000

The first comprehensive history of the book in twentieth century Ireland, this volume presents critical arguments which build on lengthy periods of archival research. Its realisation involved:

•generating an original and particularly extensive intellectual framework for the volume;

•the identification and intensive analysis of hitherto untapped primary sources in Britain, Ireland and further afield;

•commissioning and advising a team of 26 contributors, and editing their contributions;

•editing collated content for consistency, and sourcing illustrations;

•liaison with other volume editors in the series, the general editors, and contributors;

•the authorship of my own 2 chapters, plus the introduction.
