Additional information
The third of a series of papers reporting highly challenging APT experiments on NO-treated ternary Pt-alloys. Very few publications have addressed the potential benefits of ternary alloys over binaries for catalytic applications, and this work contains the first study characterizing the complex atomic-scale oxidation behaviour of Pt-Rh-Ru and Pt-Rh-Ir alloys. This study has provided the basis for ongoing multi-technique work looking at these higher order alloys. These three publications led to invited talks at Euromat 2011 and E-MRS 2013.
