Additional information

This paper provided a new methodology for optimising the granulation processes of pharmaceutical powder through controlling the colloid and interfacial properties of powder surface and liquids. This research has been extended internationally (Canada, DoI:10.1002/aic.13955; Canada, DoI: 10.2202/1542-6580.2346). The work has attracted interest from AstraZeneca R&D (Bindhu Gururajan, email available), and has led to an invited keynote lecture at International Conference, Powder, Granule and Bulk Solids Innovations and Applications, November 28-30, 2013, Patiala, India, www.pgbsia2013.com.
