Additional information

Shows that all of the unsteady plume models for predicting the development of fast growing fires, developed in the UK in the 1970s and Russia and the US in the 1990s are wrong, with a method for correcting them. This has lead on to a collaboration with the British Antarctic Survey (Dr Paul Holland: pahol@bas.ac.uk), employing methods to understand the tidal control from Antarctica of ocean circulation and hence its impact on the global climate.
