Together with several colleagues, Seryi had been involved since the foundation of this facility: in the origin of the electron lens project, its inception, design, tests and preparation of the Tevatron electron lens. He was personally involved with and led major parts of the design, simulations, creation and commissioning of the electron beam prototype, and design of the full-scale Tevatron electron lens.
