Paper describes the science goals for the project and it also provides an introduction to the various datasets, from the radio, to the mm and optical and the modelling efforts. My main contributions to the paper arose from being PI of the project itself. In this role I got the whole project started and coordinated the multiple efforts. I performed the galaxy sample selection and the SAURON stellar kinematics extraction that are described in this paper. Finally I wrote up the paper and implemented the comments from the co-authors.
