Co-Assembled and Microfabricated Bioactive Membranes
The paper provides a novel fabrication platform to create bioactive membranes. The paper led to new collaborations (with partners in Spain and the UK) for its application in heart tissue, abdominal wall, and bone. The study led to a plenary lecture (8th International Conference on Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies, Greece) and two keynote presentations (2nd Semi-Annual Symposium on Biomaterials. The Austen BioInnovation Institute in Akron, Ohio and the 5th International Conference on Biomaterials “Biomaterials & Medical Devices” BiomMedD’2012, Romania) and played a key intellectual role in several patent applications (A/N 61/745,669, UK Patent application number 1223395.3, US 61/745,669, P528867US-TW, filed 24/12/2012).
