Additional information
Previous work comparing dynamic and static user interfaces has been inconclusive. Through careful and rigorous experimental designs we demonstrate significant advantages for dynamic user interfaces for procedural skill acquisition. An important and original novelty is also the observation that the observations do not depend on the previous domain expertise of users, which in due course will have implications for user interface design, in particular for computer-based learning
