Double-weighted statement

Joining in with the Spirit is composed of 10 chapters, 9 of which could be considered research papers in their own right. After the Introduction, each chapter draws together material from a different region of the world and utilises a different sub-discipline of mission studies (theological foundations, cultural anthropology, history, political theology, mission spirituality, sociology of religion, development, peace and ecumenical studies, respectively). The book as a whole presents a complex interweaving of several distinct theses, including: a pneumatological framework for theology of mission; a post-colonial reconfiguration of world church relations; and the non-Western origins of recent developments in theology.
