Additional information

This paper presents a highly accurate version of the v2/f model near wall RANS model, now adopted as standard in codes: Saturne (with EDF, open source) and STARCCM+ (of worldwide CFD company CD-Adapco). After three successive PhD projects we finally resolved the numerical stiffness of this model originating from Stanford University. This paper also provides Reynolds number independent calibration of the model, simplifying the long series variants proposed over past 15 years. Ongoing extensions, funded by EDF and CD-Adapco, include blending with wall functions for coarse grids.
