Additional information

This collection stems from a conference Macpherson organised at the University of Glasgow at which the new papers were first presented. It includes her introductory chapter which lays out the traditional philosophical approaches to the question of individuating the senses and serves as a guide to the ten re-printed papers and eight new papers commissioned for the collection. In addition, the paper presents detailed arguments for her view of how to individuate the senses. A portion of this introduction appears as: Macpherson, F. (2011). Taxonomising the senses. Philosophical Studies, 153(1): pp. 123-42.
