Additional information

This work is a part of a KTP between the University of Bradford and Pace Plc (no.7277) and the international collaboration with Tehran PolyTechnic. It proposes a new way of calculating the limiting Bandwidth-Reflection coefficient product for uni-planar conducting sensors/antennas and showing the advantages of higher order impedance-matching circuit. This shows for the first time the range and limits of the applications where such sensors can be effectively deployed and is one of the very few, in any context, to apply these calculations to second order networks. This work surmounts considerable mathematical difficulty in finding a new design approach for small, broadband antennas, which are problematic but also much in demand.
