Encoded and multiplexed surface plasmon resonance sensor platform.
Follow up work on this highly flexible new optical sensor system has demonstrated its value in simultaneously assaying proteomic and oligonucleotide markers (Kastl et al. (2010) Biosens. Bioelectron. 26, 1719-1722).The technique has been further validated to detect a multiplexable assay for simulated spores, bacteria, viruses and toxins in environmental samples in a proof-of-concept funding project from DSTL (contact Dr Elaine Perkins) via Magna Parva Ltd (contact Dr Devaki Bhatta). This technique will be combined with a sample preparation module and exploited via the establishment of a new company LabXero Ltd (contact Dr Devaki Bhatta).
