The referees described this as beautiful work which represents a leap forward in the temporal resolution achievable with MR velocimetry (PRL Jane Throwe contact available) and which will broaden the applicability of MRI. This paper was chosen by the journal editors as part of their 'editor’s selection' and was subsequently highlighted by the American Physical Society in their 'spotlighting exceptional research' program. The work formed the basis of a future invited review article in Journal of Magnetic Resonance. Alex Tayler was awarded the Sir Paul Callaghan Young Investigator Prize at the International Conference on Magnetic Resonance Microscopy for this work.
