Additional information

This paper presents our first real-time FLIM imaging using a 32x32 0.13?m low noise single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) chip. We proposed a background insensitive FLIM algorithm, called IEM, and for the first time demonstrated a hardware-only FLIM system. Without using any post-processing software, the images can be directly generated from the camera assembly. Real-time FLIM video of dynamics of micro-fluidic mixing and images of biological samples are shown in the paper. It is the first SPAD based system showing real-time FLIM.
