Control of the thickness of mesoporous titania films for application in multiphase catalytic microreactors
A new method for deposition of stable mesoporous coatings with ultrahigh specific surface area onto microchannel walls has been developed. The previous method did not allow to increase the thickness of mesoporous coatings into the micrometer range without substantial deteriorating their mesoporous structure. The new method has been used in gas-liquid-solid catalytic microreactors which are widely employed in fine chemical synthesis. An invitation has been received to present this work as a plenary lecture at an international conference on chemical technology, XT-12, in Moscow, Russia, 18-23 March 2012
