Local History of Greek Polytheism : gods, people and the land of Aigina, 800-400 BCE
Four double-weighting criteria apply to this output, the result of a seven-year research effort. Conceptual approaches to the study of Greek polytheism were revised and an original framework of interpretation was developed. The bibliography (over 750 titles) reflects the interdisciplinary nature of the study, spanning sociology, cultural anthropology, and history of religions. A wide range of primary data, including all archaeological, literary, epigraphic, and iconographic evidence documenting religious life on Aigina from the Early Iron Age to the Classical period, was assembled, investigated (by autopsy where possible) and analyzed anew.
