<26>In medicine, a key challenge for enabling remote consultation is the capture and transfer in real-time of large datasets between the patient and the consultant. We present the first working framework for remote collaborative face-to-face discussion of the patient case, including all relevant datasets plus 3D graphical augmentation, to support development of treatment plans. The work is continuing through collaborations with Sheffield NHS hospital in dentistry (co-authors) and medical education (Pirashanthie Vivekananda-Schmidt<p.vivekananda-schmidt@sheffield.ac.uk>). The multimodal interfaces used led to a collaboration with the Qatar Assistive Technology Centre (Aejaz Zaid<azahid@mada.org>) on applications in disability. The BDJ is rank 3/81 in Oral Surgery.
