Additional information

In addition to contributing an essay to this special journal issue (pp. 156-181), Herman was also joint editor of the issue, which contains 9 essays in total. The issue was conceived by both of the joint editors, who shared the responsibility of inviting contributors, requesting revisions to initial drafts of essays, and working with contributors and copyright holders to ensure that all necessary permissions were granted for images reproduced in the issue. In addition, the joint editors co-authored the Introduction to the issue (pp. 3-13).
