Additional information

This invited paper describes research led by Brett spanning 10 years in the area of fuel cell diagnostics. This resulted in 12 papers and over 400 citations, making it one of the leading bodies of work in the world. The work led to Brett winning the DeNora Prize (International Society of Electrochemistry), many invited plenary and keynotes (Electrochem 2010, ISE 2010), funding (EP/G060991/1, EP/J001007/1) and industrial support (Intelligent Energy, NPL). CO poisoning detection described in the paper has facilitated catalyst discovery in Brett's lab(3 patents) and formation of the spin-out, Amalyst, in 2012.
